Two Ways To Amplify Your Personal Brand

“In a crowded marketplace, fitting in is a failure. In a busy marketplace, not standing out is the same as being invisible.” ~  Seth Godin

Does the thought of promoting yourself make you want to run for the hills?

Does the thought of fitting in make you feel panicked with a little dash of FOMO on top?

Whether you are an introvert or an extrovert you have to find a way to amplify your brand.

To put yourself out there.

To tell the world who you are and what you want.

And to do it in a way that is authentically you.

When did expressing joy and pride and confidence about what you do for a living become a bad thing?

I think it’s time we start a movement and take the shame out of shameless self-promotion.

There are two things you can start doing right now to amplify your brand and get some immediate results.

These simple branding hacks will also set you up for the long game too.

In this weeks video I break it down so you can get started!

Hey Judi, great tips and secret sauce! I would say to those true introverts out there – and there are way more of us than one would think for such a social-facing field – don’t think this is only for those who are already comfortable being “out there” in a big way or trying to PUT themselves out there. I did exactly what you described, beginning years ago when I first found myself in this industry and wanting to stay. Nearly 30 years later, I am still an industry publications nerd. I still volunteer with industry organizations. Has it amplified my brand? YOU BET! Did I do it for that purpose? NO WAY! My point is, it works anyway, even if your intent is more personal/internal to start with. Do these things and you’ll be better at whatever you do in your career, because although everyone can and should, not everyone will.

    1. Hi Joyce, what an awesome comment and such an important message for any and all introverts to hear! I think this is the most common concern, how do I stand out if I don’t want to stand out? And you’ve summed it up perfectly above … you can be yourself and still do all these things. Because your right, SO many people aren’t! and just doing them for your own personal dev will change the game. Thank you for the awesome reminder!
