Welcome to my new blog, “Inspired Leadership”!

Hello world!  I’m so excited to finally introduce you to my personal blog … I call it “Inspired Leadership“.

I write weekly on life and leadership, inspired by the lessons I’ve learned studying Improv theater in Chicago. My passion is to help you live an amazing life, inspire you to take risks and teach you how to lead with focus and influence.  To know more about me … click here to read my full bio.

In the meantime, here are the cliff notes:

  • I have a successful career in the meetings and convention industry having worked for companies like Marriott, Starwood and Omni over the last 11 years.
  • I come from humble beginnings and put myself through high school and college.
  • Every success in my life has been a direct result of taking risks, staying positive and surrounding myself with the right people.
  • I currently live in Chicago and have been studying Improv theatre here since 2009.  I recently graduated from Second City’s prestigous Conservatory program.   I was also part of an independent Improv group called “Control Alt Delete” and have taken classes at Stage 773 with Jimmy Carranne.  I plan to start the Improv program at iO next.
  • I am currently serving as the Vice President of Membership for the Chicago Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.
  • I have failed.  A lot.  But I have also had great success.  Both of which inspire me to share my insights to help you life a better life.

Here are the Top 5 reasons my blog will help you:

1)  You will learn how to take risks that impact your life in a positive, happy, healthy way
2)  You will learn leadership skills that you can use both professionally and personally
3)  You will gain confidence in all areas of your life
4)  You will learn lessons from the Improv theatre that will inspire you to always look for the “gifts” in life
5)  You will have FUN!

I plan to post once per week and look forward to delivering content you will find useful, sharable and inspiring.   So if you like a post … please share it!!

I’d also like to engage you in a conversation, so please do leave me feedback and post comments.  I want to hear from you.  It will help me gauge if what I’m writing is heading in the right direction.   If you don’t want to use your real name, no big deal, use an alias.  The most important thing is to tell me what’s on your mind.   ***However, any degrading, rude or off topic rants will immediatly be deleted by the comment Ninja.  Comment policy rules here.***

I hope you will come back and read often!  In the meantime, click here to subscribe to my blog posts so you don’t miss a beat.

So I ask you, my lovely reader, what is holding you back from living the life of your dreams??

Be well.  Be inspired!
