Can Regular Peeps Become Leaders?

“If the challange we face doesn’t scare us, then it’s probably not that important.” – Simon Sinek

I have just embarked upon one of the largest leadership roles in my career.

In less than a year, I become President of the Chicago Area Chapter of MPI.

I’m excited.  Nervous.  Anxious. Thrilled.  Scared.  Proud.  And propbably a million other adjectives.

And it honestly feels how I did just about every time I took the improv stage.  Scary.  Eek!

But mostly, it’s got me really thinking.  About leading and what that really means.

One of the biggest things I’ve found is that there are leaders … and then there are managers.

And there is a big difference.

That’s what I’m digging into this week …

I share with you one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE Authors and his game changing ideas on leadership:

Great info Judi…i am a fan of Seth Godin as well and while I would not consider Seth a traditional leader, I see him as a guy with empathy, compassion and all the right tools to make a great leader. Leaders come in all shapes and sizes and one of those shapes and sizes is YOU! I love your posts, keep up the great work…see you in St Louis gurl —Holler!

    1. Seth is the man!!! That’s why I like him … he is not normal and really untraditional. I like how he challenges the status quo. See you in St. Louie!
