The Secret to Giving Feedback!

“People almost never change without first being understood.” – Douglas Stone, Author of: Difficult Conversations

There is nothing I hate more than confrontation.

I try to do everything I can to avoid it at all costs.

Just the thought of getting into it with someone makes my stomach hurt, my head spins, my heart races and my anxiety levels shoot though the roof.

Maybe it has to do with the way I grew up.

Around a lot of confrontaton and yelling.

So I really want nothing to do with it.

However, as a human in this life and in the business of doing business … we will have to have tough conversations at some point.

And sometimes we just downright need to stand up for ourselves.

So if your anything like me … you have to be able to figure out how to do it.

I don’t believe in being a jerk.

I believe you can handle tough situations with love, grace and class.

That is always my goal.

I had to have a tough coversation a few months back and I although I was terrified going into it … I learned a few key things along the way that can help you during your next tough conversation.
